Mary Lou has over than 40 years in nursing leadership. She has had Chief Nursing Officer positions in four different hospital systems. She has worked with many stakeholders in her varied roles. For the past three years at Northeast Georgia Medical Center, she has worked to developed strong partnerships with: medical staff, not only in Women’s and Children’s, but other areas; the community of Gainesville and Braselton; other service lines to crosswalk care for women of all ages. Her passion is the health and safety of women and children, as is shown by her work with the Breast Center program development, the Maternal Cardiovascular Program Committee, and the Obstetric ED program being developed. In other roles, she was involved in fundraising and leadership of a not-for-profit foundation, the Arkansas state Breast Care program, appointed by two separate governors, chamber leadership programs in cities in Arkansas and Texas.
