Dr. Jackie Iseler is an accomplished nursing leader, educator, and Clinical Nurse Specialist (CNS) whose work bridges academia and practice to advance evidence-based nursing leadership and outcomes. She serves as Associate Professor and Program Director at Grand Valley State University’s Kirkhof College of Nursing, where she leads graduate education and the development of innovative CNS specialty programs.
In her concurrent role as a Clinical Nurse Specialist at Trinity Health Grand Rapids, Dr. Iseler mentors nurses and interprofessional teams in evidence-based practice (EBP), quality improvement (QI), research, and clinical excellence. Her leadership has contributed to measurable improvements in clinical outcomes, mentorship infrastructures, and professional practice environments.
Nationally, Dr. Iseler serves as President-Elect of the National Association of Clinical Nurse Specialists (NACNS) and has held multiple leadership roles in advancing CNS advocacy, education, and workforce recognition. Her scholarship focuses on CNS impact, academic-practice partnerships, and structures that sustain EBP capacity across systems. She is a contributing author and editor for the upcoming 5th edition of Research for Advanced Practice Nurses and an advocate for policy initiatives to strengthen CNS visibility within federal classifications and healthcare policy.
A Fellow of the National Association of Clinical Nurse Specialists (FCNS), Dr. Iseler is recognized for her commitment to developing future nurse leaders and advancing the professional practice of nursing through scholarship, leadership, and collaboration.
