Bio Overview

My name is Ethan J. Bryant, MBA, MSN, RN, and I currently serve as the Assistant Nurse Manager in the Pediatric Intensive Care Unit at Johns Hopkins Children’s Center in Baltimore, Maryland. My nursing journey began in Alabama, where I earned my BSN at the University of South Alabama and started my career in the Pediatric Emergency Department and Pediatric Critical Care Transport at Children’s & Women’s Hospital. Over the years, I’ve expanded my experience through roles in pediatric and adult emergency care, corrections, travel nursing, and now pediatric critical care leadership.

I joined Johns Hopkins in 2023, and I’m passionate about building strong teams, improving interprofessional collaboration, and supporting nurses in providing the highest quality care for children and families. I’m also pursuing my Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP) at Chamberlain University, where my project focuses on launching a structured nurse–resident mentorship program using TeamSTEPPS to improve communication and collaboration in the PICU.

I’m actively involved in professional nursing organizations, serving on the AONL Membership Committee and participating in state-level leadership through MONL. I love finding ways to inspire and mentor the next generation of nurse leaders, including teaching as a clinical instructor. Outside of work, I enjoy exploring Washington, D.C., and spending time with my golden retriever, Piper.
